Startups from science
The EXIST-Gründerstipendium supports you as a student, graduate and scientist from universities and non-university research institutions to turn your startup idea into a business plan. Your startup project should be an innovative technology-oriented or knowledge-based project with good economic prospects of success. The EXIST-Gründerstipendium is a funding program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and is co-financed by the European Social Fund.

Support for research-based startups
The EXIST research transfer supports you in an outstanding research-based startup project that involves complex and high-risk development work. The funding is divided into two phases: In the first funding phase, support is provided for the development of research results that have the potential to form the basis of a business startup. In the second funding phase, the focus is on further development work, measures to start up business operations and the creation of the prerequisites for corporate financing. In addition, measures for the transfer of management knowledge and support in the start-up process are also funded.
